Help Local Families Experience a Warmer, Brighter Holiday Season
Every October, PEACE, Inc. launches its annual Give-A-Holiday Campaign. Compassionate community members, businesses, and organizations join together and support local families during the holiday season.
With rising food, housing, and health care costs, the agency's families face difficult choices each day.
Through your help, we can ease some of that burden and ensure local families receive comfort, support, and hope this winter.
Our goals this year:
- Support More Than 900 Head Start Children. Every child enrolled in PEACE, Inc. Head Start programs will receive age-appropriate books, hats, gloves or mittens, and other warm items. These simple gifts help children stay warm, comfortable, and ready to learn.
- Provide at least 200 Essential Family Care Baskets. Families served through our Department of Community Programs will receive care baskets filled with toiletries and personal care items, towels and household linens, diapers and wipes, cleaning supplies, and other everyday essentials. These items relieve already stretched household budgets.
- Meet Emergency Winter Needs. Through gift cards and donations, PEACE, Inc. can respond to urgent family needs throughout the holiday season, including food, transportation, and other unexpected expenses.
Ways to Give
1. Donate to Head Start Children (Ages 0–5)
- Books for Children Under 5. Board books, picture books, and early learning books.
- Winter Clothing (Unisex). Hats, gloves, mittens, socks, and scarves.
Important Notes: All items must be new, and donations should be age-appropriate (i.e., birth to 5).

2. Create a Family Care Basket
Have fun with it! In the baskets or bags, we’re especially looking for new and unused items that aren’t covered by SNAP, such as:
Unisex Clothing: Hats, gloves, mittens, socks, and scarves.
Household & Personal Care Items: All-purpose cleaner, laundry detergent, shampoo, soap, toiletries, diapers, and more.
Household Linens: Bath and hand towels, washcloths, and bedding.
Paper Products: Paper towels, napkins, and toilet paper.
Family Fun: Board games, puzzles, and coloring supplies.
3. Donate Emergency Gift Cards
Gift cards provide immediate support for families facing urgent needs. Suggested gift cards include Walmart, Target, Tops, Aldi, Price Rite, Price Chopper, local gas stations, Uber, and Lyft.
4. Make a Monetary Donation
Flexible Support: Funds used for emergency family support during the winter.
