Emma L. Johnston Southside Family Resource Center (SSFRC) provides a variety of opportunities and services, including:
Food Pantry
Open every 3rd Thursday of the month from 10 am-1 pm
Individuals are required to provide the center with a current proof of address, photo ID for everyone in the household, and must live within the specified area of the center.
Families may come once every 30 days.
Fresh Food
Fresh Food giveaways are also on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month.
Diaper Pantry
Opened on Tuesday from 10 am-1:00 pm
The Central New York Diaper Bank is a nonprofit that was created to assist social service organizations in the Syracuse area in distributing diapers to families in need.
Family Support Program
Providing assistance to families by preventing domestic violence. The program allows face to face support for anyone in need.
Family Re-entry Program
PEACE, Inc. is now offering intensive case management to enable some formerly incarcerated individuals to gain stability and reunite with their families.
Family Development Partnership
The family and family support worker establish a partnership to set goals that assist families in their journey to becoming self-sufficient.
Telehealth
With virtual care, you are able to visit with one of the professionals from the Syracuse Community Health Center in a private room. No personal computer required; we have everything you need.
Neighborhood Advisory Council
Area residents and local businesses concerned about their community contribute ideas and suggestions often incorporated into FRC programs.
Southside Employment Center
New York State Department of Labor listings, resume writing and classes designed to help customers find employment.
