The PEACE, Inc. Viola G. Chisholm Eastside Family Resource Center OPWDD group recently enjoyed a fun-filled outing to Tim’s Pumpkin Patch. Group members had the opportunity to choose their own pumpkins and explore the petting area, where they met goats, pigs, and bunnies. They also spotted emus, enjoying the chance to see these unique birds from a safe distance.
Outings like this give OPWDD group members opportunities to explore their community, try new activities, and enjoy experiences they might not otherwise have access to. Whether picking out a pumpkin or meeting new animals, each activity offers a chance to make memories, discover something new, and spend meaningful time together.
Through experiences like these, PEACE, Inc. helps community members stay engaged, build connections, and enjoy all that each season has to offer. A day at the pumpkin patch was a wonderful way for the Eastside OPWDD group to celebrate fall while making lasting memories.
