PEACE, Inc. AmeriCorps Seniors Foster Grandparent Program recently welcomed four new volunteers who are ready to share their time, wisdom, and kindness with children in our community. These volunteers will serve at Merrick Head Start, Van Duyn Elementary, and Webster Elementary, where they will help create supportive and welcoming classroom environments.
Foster Grandparent volunteers play an important role in children’s learning and development. By offering encouragement, guidance, friendship, and additional support, they help children build confidence and feel connected in the classroom. Their presence also helps foster positive relationships and creates opportunities for children to learn and grow with the support of caring adults.
PEACE, Inc. is excited to welcome these new volunteers and thanks them for their commitment to supporting local children. Their willingness to share their time and experience helps strengthen our community and create meaningful connections between generations. We look forward to the positive impact they will make in the lives of the children they serve.
