A Wild Day of Fun for Eastwood Seniors

A Wild Day of Fun for Eastwood Seniors

Seniors from the Frank DeFrancisco Eastwood Community Center recently spent a beautiful day exploring the Wild Animal Park. With sunshine overhead and plenty to see, participants enjoyed walking through the exhibits, meeting a variety of animals, and even feeding and petting some of their favorite furry and feathered friends.

The outing gave everyone the chance to enjoy the outdoors, share laughs, and create lasting memories together. From close-up animal encounters to conversations with friends, the day was filled with fun, discovery, and meaningful connection.

Activities like these help older adults stay active, engaged, and connected with their community. PEACE, Inc. is proud to provide opportunities that support healthy aging while bringing people together through shared experiences.

Appreciation Open House at Eastwood

Appreciation Open House at Eastwood

On October 23, PEACE, Inc. held an Appreciation Open House at Frank DeFrancisco Eastwood Community Center. The event acknowledged those Onondaga County and New York State Funds used to pursue a full roof replacement, sections of brickwork repair around the roof and entrance of the building, and the installation of new floors in the building’s mezzanine. Thank you, Onondaga County Office of Aging Services and State Senator Mannion’s Office, for joining us.

Thanks also to the Maintenance and Eastwood teams that coordinated and navigated the complicated work. Most importantly, PEACE, Inc. leaders expressed their appreciation to the Eastwood Seniors for their patience and flexibility this summer during extended closures.
